Lifestyle is about you, where you want to be and I think that’s not in
some studio somewhere, so that your pictures look like the last
person’s pictures who “smiled for the camera”. You are individual and
so should your pictures.
It might be at home, on the beach, in the sea, in the middle
of a field or some industrial estate, it’s a location that means something
to you or your family.
It’s where you want to be at the time you want it to be there, no fuss,
lets wander the area, come rain or shine. The final images will be
like you, individual.
The best place to have your photograph taken is a place were you are
the most comfortable, which is not in some studio when you are told
to “smile”. Too many photographers are stuck in the Victorian era of
portraiture, the same picture, just with different faces.
If you favorite place is the beach, a field or at home - then why not
have your important photographs taken there and that will show in
the photographs.
The aim is to capture you, not some studio generated you.
